Health Care Courses

BLS for Health Care Providers This course is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings. It is designed to teach the skills of CPR for all ages including ventilation with a bag-mask device and oxygen, use of an AED and relief of choking. Program length 5 hours, program and may be broken up into 2 sessions. Renewal course 4 hours. 2 year course completion certification card.
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Course. This initial 14-16 hour course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of the hospital. This course is for those who need initial certification or feel they need more time to cover objectives than a refresher might offer. ACLS is based on simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands on participation through learning stations where students will practice essential skills individually, as part of a team or as a team leader. Realistic simulations reinforce the following key concepts: proficiency in basic life support care; recognizing and initiating treatment ischemic chest pain and acute coronary syndromes; recognizing other life threatening situations and providing initial care, ACLS algorithms, and effective resuscitation team dynamics.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Renewal Courses We offer 2 different refresher programs. The first one is 8 house in length and leaves plenty of time for review of skills and course materials.

The shorter refresher is 4-5 hours in length and reviews the key elements of ACLS with minimal hands on practice time. This program is perfect for someone who is involved with a resuscitation team.
PALS
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider. This initial 16 hour course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the treatment of critically ill infants and children. This course is for those who need initial certification or feel they need more time to cover objectives that a refresher course might offer.

The PALS course uses a scenario based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of pediatric patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest. This course covers emergency treatment beyond the first few minutes and goes through stabilizing patients and transport phases of a pediatric emergency, in or out of the hospital.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Renewal Course Our PALS refresher class runs approximately 8-10 hours. This program is designed for the healthcare professional who currently holds a PALS and BLS CPR Certification cards and requires a renewal program.

The PALS refresher course involves reviewing how to recognize respiratory failure, shock, and cardiac arrest and initiate advanced resuscitation with airway and ventilation control, vascular access, fluid and medication therapy and identify and treat rhythm disturbances.
