Welcome to GEMS web site and thank you for visiting us.

GEMS is very proud to have served the Town of Greenwich and provided Advanced Life Support paramedic patient care since 1986. GEMS was founded as a not-for-profit organization through the efforts of the Town and Greenwich Hospital to initiate the availability of advanced life support paramedic care to 911 patients.

Due to the efforts of our staff, and their reputation for excellence, GEMS has gained state-wide recognition for our demanding progressive professional standards, a system design that assures rapid response times, cutting edge technology, state of the art equipment and vehicles, an excellent training center, a quality assurance program that is used as a model in CT, and comprehensive community outreach programs.

Through the leadership and support of the GEMS’ Board and our loyal Capital Fund donors, GEMS has provided all capital purchases since 1991, saving the Town of Greenwich over$6-3 million. Due to our capital fund GEMS can assure our patients receive the most sophisticated care by immediately implementing progressive medical treatment and technology when medically approved. However, the best technology has no success unless it is in the hands of highly skilled and educated medical professionals. At GEMS we expect the best, and our unique blend of career and volunteer professionals continually meets and exceeds our standards.

As you will see as you navigate our web site, GEMS is not only dedicated to rapid 911response to provide advanced life support treatment, but is also closely integrated into our community from our public school programs to providing training to individuals, corporations, and response teams in all public buildings to educational programs for all ages.

Again, thank you for your interest in GEMS, and enjoy!

"Very Professional - Courteous – Will increase our donation for 2010!"
