In our continuous pursuit of public safety and well-being, Greenwich EMS is proud to bring you our Outdoor Public Access AED Program, offering 24/7/365 availability of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). Designed with an all-weather casing, these AED units stand vigilant, ready for use in an emergency regardless of the time or season.
Currently, we have strategically placed 17 of these units across our town. You can find them located at the bathrooms in all major parks and at the Greenwich High School fields. Each unit is housed in a specially designed, weather-resistant case that ensures its functionality throughout the year, and is equipped with active remote monitoring and an emergency notification system.
We wish to express our profound gratitude to our generous community members. Every unit currently in service has been funded entirely through private donations. These donations have allowed us to bring this invaluable emergency resource to public spaces, enhancing the safety and preparedness of our community.
We invite you to join this movement for community safety. You can contribute towards funding an entire unit at $4,500.00 or give any amount you choose towards the program. Every donation, regardless of size, will help us continue expanding this vital service.
